2013—Awarded for Construction Quality and Craftsmanship

American Institute of Architects (AIA)
The Barnes Foundation moved to a new 93,00sf, LEED Platinum art gallery and education center in downtown Philadelphia and was honored with an AIA Honor Award for Architecture. The building form, constructed by L.F. Driscoll, successfully resolves challenges of context, security, and materiality as it melds tradition with modernity noted the jury.

American Subcontractors Association (ASA) San Antonio Chapter
Structure Tone Southwest’s ARGO Group headquarters project was selected as Project of the Year at the 18th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards banquet. The ARGO Group headquarters relocation project consisted of renovating 68,000sf on floors 10 through 13 in the IBC Centre in downtown San Antonio, TX.

General Contractors Association of Hawaii
Structure Tone and Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. were honored with an Award of Excellence, Design-Build/Design Assist Construction (more than $35 million) for the construction of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center. Noted as one of 65 premier cancer research centers in the country the new 165,000sf sustainable facility is comprised of two buildings: a four-story wet lab and a six-story dry lab.

Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC)
David Snyder, executive vice president of Structure Tone Southwest, was honored with the Michael P. Hickey Award. David upholds the highest standards of integrity, supports the industry and is a consummate ambassador for the IAMC.

International Interior Design Association (IIDA)
Warnaco, Inc. and Gensler were honored with an International Interior Design Award, Retail for the 27,000sf office and showroom constructed by Structure Tone for Calvin Klein Jeans. The team worked together to achieve Genslers design and the owners vision.

International Interior Design Association (IIDA) New England Chapter
The Communispace project in Boston, MA was grateful for the recognition and honor of winning Best Office Over 80,000sf. Engagement, interaction and community are fundamental to Communispace’s business practices, and were drivers in the design and construction of their new corporate headquarters.

NAIOP Hawaii Chapter

New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA)
When relocating, the addition of a new company and their employees can have a significant impact on the local neighborhood. Structure Tone and Ansell Healthcare Products, LLC were bestowed a New Good Neighbor Award for their benefits to the community.

Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia
The Rodin Museum garden and landscape, exterior envelop and interior renovation project by L.F. Driscoll received the 2013 Preservation Alliance Achievement Award.

Sommerville Historic Preservation Commission
For the past five years Structure Tone has completed numerous projects on the Tufts University campus. Two projects were honored this year with awards from the Sommerville Historic Preservation Commission: Bromfield Pearson won the Good Stewardship Historical Preservation Award for the exterior renovation and roof replacement on this historic building; and Tufts Administration Building (TAB) was recognized with the Good Stewardship Award for the repair and restoration of the central services building.

The Greater New York Construction User Council
Columbia University’s Campbell Sports Center was recognized as a 2013 Outstanding Project—Athletic Facility. The 47,000sf, LEED Silver certified building is the gateway to Baker Athletic Complex. BIM was utilized for clash detection and coordination of the unique facade, the first significant project undertaken by the University utilizing this technology, which was ultimately used to manage and maintain the facility.

2012—Recognized as the Best

American Institute of Architects (AIA)
The Standard, a 20-story, 250,00sf hotel, which is bisected by the High Line park was the proud recipient of a 2012 AIA Honor Award for Architecture. “The building addresses the urban scale as a tower relating to highline and river well. It blends seamlessly with the fabric of the surrounding neighborhood,” noted the jury.

ENR Mid-Atlantic
The largest private collection of post-impressionist and modernist artworks moved to a new home this year in downtown Philadelphia. Honored as the Best Cultural/Worship Project in the Mid-Atlantic, The Barnes Foundation opened a 93,000sf, LEED Platinum art gallery and education center. Constructed by L.F. Driscoll the project delicately balanced the growing needs of the Foundation and the founders wishes to preserve the works of art as he left them.

Event Strategies
Our Dublin office was honored for their work at MasterCard with a Fit-Out Project of the Year, Large Office award. The client wanted to make a statement, which was achieved by incorporating a classic design, playful elements and colors and collaborative spaces.

International Facility Management Association (IFMA) New York Chapter
WilmerHale was presented with a 2012 Distinguished Award Winner in Design & Construction New Facility over 200,000sf for their 210,000sf, LEED Gold office fit-out at Seven World Trade Center.

International Interior Design Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter

Structure Tone's DC office managed the construction for three projects that were honored with awards:

The top honor, the Pinnacle Award, and a Gold Award, were presented to the Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson project.
Bronze Awards were presented to the Edelman Public Relations project and Airlines Reporting Corporation project.

Structure Tone Southwest was proudly recognized with two Phillips' 66 Safety Awards at Phillips 66 first annual safety summit for:

Society for Marketing Professional Services
The Battery SeaGlass Carousel at the Battery was selected as a Best of 2012 project for its positive impact on the built environment in and around New York.

Subcontractors Association of Delaware Valley
Chaz Steiner of L.F. Driscoll was selected as Project Manager of the Year. Recognized by SADV for his leadership, management and dedication to his craft, Chaz is managing the construction at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania–Penn Medicine. For more than 25 years, Chaz has served the construction industry with a specialization in healthcare facilities.

Texas Society of Architects
The LEED Silver certified Cathedral of Hope Interfaith Peace Chapel constructed in Dallas, TX was honored with a 2012 Design Award.

2011—Construction Management Delivers Results

HIDDEN FOR WEB American Institute of Architects (AIA)
The historic renovation and preservation of The Academy of Music in center city Philadelphia was recognized with an Honor Award for Interior Architecture. "Beautiful execution of historic preservation. The fact that this entry was so well documented and expertly executed, down to every faithful detail, makes us proud to revere the past and keep it ever present," noted one juror.

American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Chapter
The Standard hotel honored with an Architecture Merit Award.

Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC)
Cathedral of Hope was honored with an Excellence in Construction Award for the construction of the new LEED Silver certified cultural center. The award is presented to the nation's highest quality construction projects.

Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Texas Building Branch
Denbury Resources Inc. was honored with an Outstanding Construction Award for the LEED certified interior-fit out of their new corporate offices.
Cathedral of Hope was recognized with an Outstanding Construction Award in the Building Category for the construction of the new LEED Silver certified cultural center.

BOMA/NY
200 Fifth Avenue recognized by BOMA/NY with a 2010-2011 Pinnacle Award for best Renovated Building. The landmark building was converted into a first-class, LEED Gold office building.

575 Fifth Avenue was the recipient of the 2010-2011 Pinnacle Award for best Corporate Facility. Transformed during a multi-year renovation, Structure Tone performed selective demolition, rebuilt the core and shell, replaced the façade and installed new infrastructure, as well as built a new lobby and atrium.

The Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park was honored with two 2010-2011 Pinnacle Awards—New Construction and the Earth Award. Providing the interior fit-out for the bank and the majority of the building tenants, Structure Tone ensured that the construction program met their design goals and sustainability objectives.

ConocoPhillips
Structure Tone Southwest’s Matt Mazurek, Britt McKinney and David Angelo were presented with a SPIRIT of Performance Award for their work on the Transportation Control Center project in Bartlesville, OK. The annual awards recognize those who demonstrate excellence in Safety, People, Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation and Teamwork.

Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)
Structure Tone earned an honorable mention at the 18th Annual Metro NY/NJ CMAA Awards Banquet for its success in delivering HOK’s new 34,000sf LEED Platinum office.

CoreNetGlobal New England Chapter
Ropes & Gray received an Award of Excellence—Best Workplace for their new LEED Gold office fit-out.

ENR New York
HOK's newly constructed 34,000sf LEED Platinum offices , managed by Structure Tone, was awarded Best Interior Design/Tenant Improvement project by ENR New York.

Cathedral of Hope was honored with the Best Cultural/Worship project award for the construction of the new LEED Silver certified cultural center.

Proskauer's new LEED Gold offices in New York City were selected as a Merit Award Winner for Best Office Extra Large Over 100,000sf.
A confidential auto credit client's new LEED Gold offices in Texas were honored with a Merit Award for Best Office Mid-Size 10,000-50,000sf.

International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Boston
Ropes & Gray was honored with the top award Boston Best Practices for Large Projects. The new LEED Gold offices occupy over 18 floors of the Prudential Center and are home to over 1,800 employees.

International Facility Management Association (IFMA) New York City
The Standard Chartered Bank fit-out was the proud recipient of the Design & Construction Award for a New Project over $200K. The facility was also recognized for being a LEED project.

International Interior Design Association (IIDA) New England Chapter
The Analysis Group project in Boston, MA was grateful for the recognition and honor of winning First Place, Office 30,000-80,000sf. The renovation and expansion of their office created a private work environment for all their employees, unique in todays open plan work environment.

Denbury Resources Inc. was honored with a Distinguished Construction Award for the LEED certified interior-fit out of their new corporate offices.
Cathedral of Hope was recognized with a Distinguished Construction Award in the Building Category for the construction of the new LEED Silver certified cultural center.

The Greater New York Construction Users Council
Setai Fifth Avenue Hotel was honored as one of New York City’s Top Projects of 2011 in the Hospitality category. The development involved erecting a new, 567,000sf, 57-story (two levels below grade plus mechanical penthouse) mixed-use building with 372,000sf of residential space, 195,000sf for The Setai hotel, with parking and retail completing the scope.

The Liberty Chapter of Philadelphia
A Liberty Award was presented to L.F. Driscoll in recognition of exceptional safety and quality standards.

The New York Landmarks Conservancy
The modernization of St. Patrick's Cathedral Rectory was recognized with a Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy, their highest honors for outstanding preservation efforts. The award is given to projects that demonstrate excellence in the restoration, preservation or adaptive use of historic buildings, streetscapes and landscaped.
