Capital Improvements

For the past two years, our staff has provided construction management services for various projects on Bristol-Myers Squibb’s (BMS) Wallingford, CT campus. We have built over 50 projects. The types of project under this master services agreement have included careful work in the vivarium and labs to conference room audio/visual upgrades and data center expansion. Under this contract we have become intimately familiar with all the types buildings on the campus including the main buildings, vivarium, BSL-3, central utility plan, MH Building and gate house.

A Dedicated Staff

In order to successfully complete so many projects (often several simultaneously) across the Bristol-Myers Squibb campus, we have a full time staff dedicated to manage all projects at BMS. Our executive project manager addresses all the financial aspects of the projects with BMS representatives. The site project manager takes a concept for a project and prepares and submits a Capitol Appropriations Request for approval. Once the project has been approved, our project supervisor develops schedules, tracks equipment, trains subcontractors to meet BMS safety requirements, monitors quality control, builds-out the project on time and closes-out the job. In addition each project has a its own standard of procedure and job hazard analysis which is approved by BMS’ Environmental Health and Safety officer prior to start up.
