New York, NY
Today, as it’s always been, our largest worldwide presence is in New York City, where Structure Tone was founded in 1971. Structure Tone’s proven expertise managing construction in one of the most challenging and complex environments in the world is unparalleled.

Our goal has never been to be the biggest, only the best. In fealty to that mission, in almost 40 years we have not lost respect for smaller, specialized projects while we have grown in our ability to successfully perform larger assignments. The depth of our resources in the region allows us to assign specialized teams with expertise in the project delivery skills required for each assignment – whether a fast-track, short duration, smaller scale project or a major endeavor spanning several years and multiple project phases.

While we are annually ranked as one of the largest contractors in New York City, it may surprise you to learn that a majority of that volume is generated by projects under $1M or between $1-5M in construction value. Each year, we buy-out, permit and close-out more than 1,000 projects between $500K and $5M.

Also, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to tackle some of the City’s largest and most challenging projects, and each year our portfolio includes several assignments for projects in the 300-500,000sf range (and sometimes bigger). Owners and managers of some of New York’s most renowned buildings have trusted Structure Tone’s local expertise and acumen to accomplish their goals and achieve their visions, including, but not limited to:

St. Patrick’s Cathedral
Top of the Rock/Rockefeller Center
MoMA
CitiCorp Building
MetLife Building
One Bryant Park/Bank of America Tower

As a result of almost four decades of construction in the metropolitan region, as well as the strength of our annual purchasing volume, we have amassed in-depth knowledge of local market conditions, pricing trends, and sub-vendor strengths/weaknesses, among other key issues. Our estimating and preconstruction staff have their fingers on the daily pulse of local subcontractor/trade pricing as well as the costs of national/international commodities and materials.

Our ability to help you realize the most value for your budget is second-to-none. This, combined with the depth of subcontractor knowledge, offers you a level of risk mitigation that cannot be over-stated in today’s business climate.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss how our strengths can be your wins – small or large, short or long duration – we value every project and offer you the best that have to give on each assignment. Please contact us to mutually explore how we can best serve you.
