Growing With the Organization
Structure Tone Southwest was built upon the hard work and determination of its founders—entrepreneurs who took the organization to become one of the world’s leading construction service providers. As a privately held company, we believe our best investment is in our people who help us sustain our commitment to client service and excellence.
As a result, an emphasis on training and development continues to be a priority at all levels of the organization. Regardless of whether you’re a new recruit or close to retirement, Structure Tone Southwest is committed to helping each employee develop and refine his/her skills.
We offer extensive training programs via our in-house University, while also supplementing these course offerings with a tuition assistance program for classes and seminars taken at accredited colleges and universities. Each employee is encouraged to participate in these programs, which has been incorporated into our annual performance reviews to emphasize our commitment.
Rotational Project Engineer Program/Management Training
Entry-level college graduates with backgrounds in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or interior design are the ideal candidates for this rotational training experience. Newly minted Rotational Project Engineers (RPE) are initially assigned to project management, estimating and field management and guided throughout the program.
Through the formal rotation (12 months) in each of these three disciplines, combined with training the RPEs are exposed to a well-rounded professional experience in construction management. At the end of the program, RPEs are promoted to the next phase of their career to superintendents, estimators or project managers with a solid foundation in all aspects of construction. Also, upon completion of the RPE program each employee will be OSHA 30 trained and have successfully become a LEED AP.
Structure Tone Southwest Training Courses
Trainers on staff and industry experts provide both fundamental and specialized skills to make all our employees even more effective. A range of topics include basic “soft” skills such as goal-setting and time management as well as more complex training on proprietary software and other technology.
Professional Development Seminars
These seminars are designed for mid-level professionals, line supervisors and other specialists seeking to improve their job-specific technical and managerial skills while gaining new insight and preparing themselves for a future in senior management. Seminars include topics on construction management skills, safety certification, estimating and product seminars.
Executive Development Programs
Structure Tone Southwest executives are constantly being challenged to further develop their managerial, supervisory and interpersonal skills via leadership training. Each training series is designed to include valuable exercises and projects that are applied directly to the organization.
Structure Tone Southwest believes that by investing in our employees and treating them as stakeholders who are investing their human capital in our business, we develop and retain highly skilled technical and professional human resources who develop their careers in construction management in partnership with Structure Tone Southwest.
