Data Center Construction
Structure Tone provided design/build services for a new 4,000sf data center for a telecommunications client. The project scope included HVAC, electrical supply and distribution as well as fire services and security systems. The security system included CCTV surveillance and access control system supervised by a central control center.
Raised floor was installed to accommodate wiring installation and maintenance. The ‘hot & cool aisles’ were achieved through the raised floor return air. The design and material selected was considered for energy saving and sustainability for environmental protection.
Reliable Construction
The data center electrical power supply, HVAC operation and room condition were supervised by a central monitoring system. The HVAC system was comprised of CRAC units and radiators designed with certain redundancy and specially equipped with double condenser water feeders to ensure high reliability. The electrical system was equipped with advanced UPS and PPC to ensure the stability and reliability to suit for Tier-IV data center requirement. FM200 and gas distinguisher was adopted with AFA system for fire services system endorsed by FSD. All water main pipe work was installed outside the data center area. A water leakage detection system was installed as well.
