Expanding Education
Dublin Business School (DBS) is Ireland's largest independent third level college. With over 9,000 students, DBS provides a comprehensive range of full-time undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. Selected as the construction manager for the Dublin Business School, Structure Tone provided the strip-out and refurbishment of an existing, 40,000sf commercial space. The facility includes 200 individual networked student workstations and 850 student desks in 22 classrooms with audio/visual capabilities.
Highlights of the project include:
- breakout areas on all floors and a 3,000sf canteen
- installation of new internal fire escape stairs
- installation of new M&E systems for university facilities
Room For Growth
Building its international reputation on quality of teaching, it was important for DBS to expand and provide more workstations for students. The learning environment has been enhanced with state-of-the-art audio/visual technologies installed in the new classrooms. Upgrading and expanding the educational surroundings is beneficial for both students and faculty, allowing both to achieve the highest level of success.
