Cutting-edge Equipment in an
Eco-Responsible Space

Displaying the latest biomedical testing instruments required Structure Tone to construct a unique space for Beckman Coulter to demonstrate its equipment. Countless hospitals, universities, medical schools and laboratories are the end-users of this equipment. The 2,500sf showroom is accompanied by a beautiful lobby and reception area, private and guest offices, and boardroom and training facilities. The award winning space was designed utilizing eco-friendly materials. Throughout the space, one sees countertops with surfaces made from a combination of recycled glass, quartz stone and silestone; the reception lobby features combinations of cork and glass panel flooring; and the boardroom is accented with walls made from a mixture of sculpted Bellagard (wood panels made of recycled MDF) and Conserve Our Resources (COR) wood panels.

Maintaining the Schedule

Completing the project within the 12-week schedule was made possible by Structure Tone’s preconstruction phase efforts. Early on, our team identified long lead items that would not conform to a 12-week schedule, such as the countertops and panels. The Structure Tone team provided Beckman Coulter with an interim plan that allowed us to complete the project on time without delaying the schedule. For example, we painted the walls until the decoustic pearwood panels arrived.
