435 Seventh Avenue
New York, NY

A New Store in the Heart of Midtown

This project involved the new construction of a retail building at 435 Seventh Avenue in New York City on a very fast-track schedule and located on an extremely active, congested, and pedestrian-dense intersection, across the street from Macy’s Department Store, Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden. New building construction consisted of a structural steel frame with concrete on metal deck and clad with a glass curtainwall system.

Coordination & Construction

We completed our work in 14 weeks in order to meet the terms of the lease agreement. The new building is adjacent to an existing subway entrance, and therefore required the construction of a new entrance to the subway within the building footprint. Approximately 50,000 people per day during rush hour pass this busy transit hub, requiring an extensive logistics plan and coordination with several agencies, including the New York City Department of Buildings, Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
