Structure Tone Bim Manager Demonstrates the Utilization and Benefits of BIM

Structure Tone New York’s BIM Manager, Arash Yaghoubi, has recently been lending his expertise to industry partners and students about the capabilities of BIM and the benefits of utilizing the software tool for construction management. Structure Tone has successfully implemented BIM on over 9M-sf of projects globally.

Arash co-presented with Carl Galioto of HOK at an event hosted by CoreNet in New York City to an audience comprised of business owners and real estate professionals. The co-presenters used HOK’s new office space (construction and BIM managed by Structure Tone), as a case study to demonstrate the benefits of BIM – most significantly, cost and schedule savings due to reduced change orders and field issues.

Future construction management, architects and design professionals from NYIT also benefited from our organization’s expert level utilization of BIM. Students were given a glimpse of how they will be applying the software/tools they’ve learned in the classroom setting to large scale, complex construction projects. Additional BIM/3D modeling seminars have been presented to youth from the High School for Construction Trades, Engineering and Technology; ACE Mentor program; and NY Exploring Program.

The overall theme and emphasis of the seminars given by the Structure Tone organization’s
BIM professionals is that multi-dimensional, dynamic modeling software binds design and construction teams together into a unified entity focused on the client's best interests.

The Structure Tone organization refers to a group of independent companies including Structure Tone, Inc.; Structure Tone Southwest, Inc.; Structure Tone (UK), Inc.; Pavarini Construction Co., Inc.; Pavarini McGovern, LLC; and L.F. Driscoll Company, LLC. Each member company is an independent entity operating and providing services solely under its own name. STO collectively employs over 1,350 professionals; has 21 offices in the US, UK, Ireland and Asia; and puts in place over $2.5B in annual construction volume.
