Critical Relationship
Structure Tone’s mission critical relationship with this colocation client has been cultivated for over five years in Southwest and Northeast US and the United Kingdom. Our teams have completed over 150,000sf of space for the colocation client worldwide. Through our experience on each project and lesson-learned initiatives, our relationship has evolved from a general contractor to an alliance partner. With each project we provide additional value-added services and are able to streamline their construction process - all while saving money and time without compromising quality.
Sustainable Data Centers with the Latest Construction Technology
The data center pods in Texas received LEED certification, from Certified to Gold levels. With each project, our teams met or exceeded the client’s corporate commitment to environmental goals. In addition to meeting the LEED goals of the client, our team has been a pioneer in BIM/virtual construction technology for its centers in Texas.
We were the first construction manager to utilize BIM for the client. We participated in a full virtual walk-through of a Dallas project prior to construction and were able to answer “field” questions prior to construction start. Through this effort, electrical costs were decreased by more than $100,000. After the successful BIM implementation in Dallas, our mission critical teams have utilized virtual construction on projects in Houston and other projects in the southwest.
