Talk for a minute about opportunities for collaboration between smart grid and intelligent buildings, because we are talking about building automation and smart grid is our next move. Everyone seems to be talking about it, but it doesn’t seem to be happening.
Talk about building as a verb. The processes, the contract, the instruments, and the relationships that are currently in place—that’s the structure that got us what we have. Were talking about interoperability. How do we change that? Where do we think is the best place to start to change those contractual relationships, the legal requirements that architects and engineers carry and the legal documents that say building performance overall and energy is somehow related or now part of your responsibility?
