Our firm provided construction services for a data center located within an existing 350,000sf warehouse on the southern side of the client’s complex; designed to be the replacement for the existing data center located on the north side. The replacement was accomplished via a phased transition of the existing IT hardware as well as the installation of the new IT equipment.

The new data center includes 100,000sf of MEP space, 25,000sf of office and other support space and 55,000sf of raised floor computer room space designed to support an average IT load of 100watts/square foot. High density loads at up to 8-12kW per cabinets provided for approximately 5,000sf of space. Overall, redundancy exceeds an industry accepted Tier III rating.

  • Double-ended substations with 2N transformers
  • Dual-Cord power to all IT hardware
  • N+1 generators coupled with Utility feed to provide 2N electrical power to the site
  • 2N chiller plants, comprised of both water and air cooled chillers
  • 2N pumping
  • Dual fed computer room air conditioners arranged in an N+1 configuration with no central point control
  • Double-ended, segmented chilled water loop, common to both chillier plants with valves to allow maintenance of any section of chillier water piping without interruption of data processing
