Having grown from a small software development company to a major player in the data centre industry, the technology client selected Structure Tone to construct their newest data centre in Tian Jin. With 85,000sf over five levels, this high-tech building is a major facility in its portfolio and its first data centre in China.
Full-Service Provider
A full-service IT provider, the technology client was looking for a full-service construction manager to successfully build their new facility. The scope of work included:
- Level 1—This floor contains: reception area; meeting, exhibition, central control room, and security rooms; UPS room; generator plant; LV switch room; and MDF room.
- Levels 2 to 4—Data centre floors (12,000sf each) with small office and meeting rooms on each floor. An MT control room is located on each floor for temperature and humidity control and surveillance.
- Level 5—Office floor with leisure area including open plan office space, software development centre, MT control room, conference rooms, slumber room, and snack counter. A patio is located externally.
