Building the Future

Structure Tone has been working with Bright Horizons to construct early education and child care facilities throughout the US. Having completed projects from Hoboken, NJ to Dallas, TX and many stops in between, our teams are familiar with the requirements of the facilities and repeatedly exceed the client’s expectations.

Each facility is typically 8–15,000sf. They include classrooms, restrooms, kitchens, director’s offices, staff lounge, reception area, mechanical room and teacher resource room. Additionally a playground area is constructed outside, when feasible.

Working with the Community

The child care facilities are typically built within an existing, occupied commercial office or residential building. Site-safety is paramount for these projects, as the facility is surrounded by residents, tenants or other businesses. Temporary partitions are constructed, appropriate signage is displayed and the site is constantly monitored by our staff. Strict enforcement of our site-specific safety plan results in zero injuries.

Communication and coordination is also extremely important during the life of any project. Tight coordination between our team and building management allows for flawless shutdowns for testing of the fire alarm, smoke detectors and plumbing systems. Coordinating all deliveries with vendors and trades allows the safe entry of all deliveries to the space without affecting tenants’ in and around the building.
