Structure Tone’s Boston Office Featured in ENR for Green Construction
| In ENR’s Spotlight on New England feature, Structure Tone’s Boston office was recognized for its success in providing construction management services for sustainable and LEED certified spaces throughout the northeast. The office has successfully put-in-place 2,843,033sf in LEED projects at all levels—certified through platinum. Modern, LEED Silver Headquarters Akamai Technology’s 170,00sf office, located in Cambridge, was managed by Structure Tone and achieved LEED Silver certification. Added complexities of the project included performing construction in an occupied space, installation of a high-performance A/V package and incorporating the unique design of curved walls and ceilings. Ryan Megenedy, senior project manager, attributes the success of Akamai’s project to collaboration, open lines of communication and a talented team. “From the beginning, the partnership was in constant communication, from constructability reviews to lessons learned on previous floors,” commented Megenedy. LEED Construction throughout the Northeast Structure Tone’s Boston office continues to deliver LEED spaces at all levels and eco-friendly projects throughout the northeast. Ranging in size from 5,000sf to 300,000sf and varying in scope, the office has constructed or is currently managing construction of sustainable offices for Bank of America, MFS Investment Management, WilmerHale, Cisco Systems, Citigroup, Costar Group and Deutsche Bank, to name a few.
